Piazza del Popolo
Piazza del Popolo is one of Rome's grandest and most iconic squares, known for its impressive architecture and historical significance. The square is dominated by the Egyptian obelisk of Ramses II, which stands at the center, surrounded by two grand churches and flanked by the twin fountains. Originally a gateway into the city, Piazza del Popolo served as a ceremonial entrance for visitors arriving from the north. Today, it is a lively hub, connecting the Via del Corso with the Pincio Hill and offering stunning views of the city.
