Pantheon
The Pantheon is one of the most majestic places in Rome, dedicated to all past, present, and future deities. It was built in 27 BC by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, son-in-law of Augustus, the first emperor of Rome. It was originally a rectangular temple that was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt and later damaged by lightning, after which Emperor Hadrian had it completely rebuilt. A true masterpiece of Roman engineering, it is one of the most imitated buildings in the history of architecture.
