Colosseum
The Colosseum is considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world! The Flavian amphitheater, a symbol of the greatness of Rome, called the Colosseum due to the colossal statue of Nero that stood in the square in front. Its construction was started in 72 after Christ by the emperor Vespasian. The inauguration took place in the year 80, under the Emperor Titus, with gladiator fights, celebrations and performances that lasted one hundred days.
